Is there a way to keep needles from falling out of a wreath?

We recently felled a nice blue spruce, and rather then letting it go to waste, I'd like to make some early wreaths out of it. I'm just afraid that by the time the holidays do come around, the needles will already be dropping out. How do you keep the needles from falling out and last for atleast 2 months?
