Can i get my hamster to like baths?

ok so the weather in ireland is getting really really hot and yesterday my hamsters (Dexter) temperature was double mine and he was not happy about it so i gave him a little bath now in all fairness he was really happy and relaxed after but what i was doing was getting my hand wet and then rubbing him as he hate being in water but he still freaked out is there anyway to get him to enjoy these baths???
